Cueva Arbreda

Created at 8.12.2016

Description

Cueva Arbreda is a palaeolithic site, which holds a long sediment sequence with Mousterian, Aurignacian, Gravettian and Solutrean levels. In the course of excavations directed by Joaquim and Narcis Soler, the C1 project conducted a geochemical, sedimentological and micromorphological study of the upper part of the sequence down to Mousterian level K. Ongoing work extends the records down to the base and adds luminescence dates for the lower part of the sequence.
